Service scope

Somerset Pothole Tracker is a community reporting and awareness tool. It helps collect and display pothole reports, but it is not an emergency service.

Road repairs are carried out by the relevant authority, and users should also report urgent hazards directly to official channels.

User responsibilities

Submit accurate information where possible and do not upload unlawful, abusive, or misleading content.

Do not put yourself in danger to capture photos. Stay safe and away from moving traffic when reporting.

Moderation and takedowns

Reports may be reviewed, edited, approved, rejected, or removed to maintain data quality and lawful operation.

We will consider takedown or image-change requests where suitable proof is provided.

Availability and continuity

We aim to keep the service available, but uptime cannot be guaranteed and maintenance or outages may occur.

If the service is retired, data may be archived for record purposes, while requests relating to removals are intended to remain reviewable for as long as practical.

Liability

The site is provided on an "as is" basis. To the extent permitted by law, no guarantee is made that information is complete, current, or error-free at all times.
